Founded by Taiesha Whitaker, Journey in the Garden was born from a deep passion for caring for others, particularly seniors and individuals in need of compassionate support. With a heart for service and a desire to make a difference, Taiesha recognized the growing need for high-quality non-medical home care services in Northeast Florida. She saw firsthand how individuals living alone were at risk for falls, medication errors, and the emotional toll of loneliness and isolation. Determined to provide a solution, she created Journey in the Garden—a company built on love, dignity, and a commitment to helping others live safely and comfortably in their own homes.

As she worked closely with clients, Taiesha realized a unique connection between home healthcare and professional services. Many of the same individuals needing home care also required notary services, fingerprinting, and I-9 verifications for important life documents. Whether it was assisting with power of attorney documents, notarizing medical directives, or ensuring proper background screenings for caregivers, these services became an essential part of the support system she provided. Driven by her passion to simplify life for seniors and their families, she expanded Journey in the Garden to offer both home health and professional services—creating a seamless experience for those in need.
